MAJNUN Le Fou De Layla

We follow the tragic legend of the thwarted love of Qays and Layla, two children of the Arabian desert. When fate opposes their union, Qays, mad with grief, withdraws into the desert among the wild beasts, declaiming his love to all winds… Receiving the nickname of Majnûn – “the madman” in Arabic, he symbolizes the passion for love that is only fulfilled in annihilation.

Accompanied by his theater company, Hassan El Jaï presents his personal vision of this legendary love in a new production.
